Applies to:

  • ServiceLedger 2013

When configured to do so, ServiceLedger allows you to specify a credit limit for your customers. Although ServiceLeder will not prevent you from creating new quotes, work orders, or invoices for a customer that is over the customer's credit limit, it will notify you as you create these records.

In order to enable customer credit limits, you will need to set the value of company option "client.credit_limit.enable" to "1". See (T0018) How do I change a company option / global preference? for more information on adding or editing company options.

Once the option has been enabled, you can find and set customer credit limits under the Prices / Rates tab.

After setting a credit limit up, you will be notified when creating a quote, work order, or invoice if the customer is over the credit limit.

At this time, ServiceLedger does not provide any further reporting on credit limits.
