By default, ServiceLedger will print to whatever printer you have set as your default printer in Windows. See Printers under the Windows Control Panel to determine which printer is your default printer.
In some circumstances, you may want ServiceLedger to use a printer that is different than your Windows default printer. For example, you may want all printouts from ServiceLedger such as jobs (work orders), invoices, etc. to go to your main office printer, but may prefer that other documents you work on print on a printer that is in your own office.
ServiceLedger has a default printer feature which can be used to achieve this behavior. By setting the company option (global preference) 'company.default.printer_name' to the name of the desired printer, you can have ServiceLedger use that printer, no matter what you have set as your default printer in Windows.
Because the default printer is shared across your entire company, you will need to make sure that all computers that use ServiceLedger have access to this printer and that it has the same name on all such computers.
You can also override the default printer on a per-report basis. To do this, use the dropdown menu at the top of the report (print preview) window.
For information on how to change a company option, see (T0018) How do I change a company option / global preference?
