If you have tax rates in your tax rate list that are unused, you can remove them by following these steps:

  1. Backup your database, see links above
  2. Log into SL as Admin
  3. Go to Administration->Administration, locate the SQL tab
  4. Copy and paste the following text into the Text box:

    delete from company_tax_rate where company_tax_rate_id not in
    (select company_tax_id from client
    union
    select company_tax_id from client_location
    union
    select company_tax_rate_id from ticket_tax
    union
    select company_tax_rate_id from ticket
    union
    select company_tax_rate_id from invoice_tax
    union
    select company_tax_rate_id from invoice
    )
  5. Click "Exec", there will be no message or confirmation.
  6. Close the ad,administration window
