ServiceLedger has seen an issue with Quicbooks 2008 R5. The issue prevents the specifying of a tax rate on the line item. Currently, we are unable to work around the issue and maintain the same functionality as seen in prior versions. The symptom is an entry in the log stating:
You cannot use the same tax item in both the line items and the txn tax.
We are waiting for Intuit to resolve this issue in the next release. You can follow this issue yourself with Intuit:
If you are affected by this, it is suggested that you set the following configuration options:
quickbooks.let_quickbooks_calculate_tax = 1
quickbooks.payment.apply_method = no_apply
These options are set on the configuration tab of the Quickbooks link at Quickbooks->Misc->Utility.
The options will set the link to not export taxing information, allowing Quickbooks to calculate the tax by itself. Because the invoice amount may mismatch the calculation ServiceLedger has, the payments must not be applied as ServiceLedger has seen them applied.
