(T0171) Backing up my database fails with error "status = 112"

When you attempt to back up your database, you may receive a message similar to the following:

"Write on 'C:\Program Files\ServiceLedger\ServiceLedger\20070821_09265659.bak' failed, status = 112. See the SQL Server error log for more"

The usual cause of this issue is a lack of disk space in the target back up location. Try backing up to a different location and verify that you have write access to the target location and that the disk it is on has at least 2GB of free disk space. Most backups are between 300MB and 1GB.
