At this time, there are no support documents for updating ServiceLedger when you do not have ServiceLedger installed on our database server. ServiceLedger support cannot assist with this setup, and any requests for information will be dealt with as Services, billable at the current rates stated on our website.
If you must have the ServiceLedger database on a server on which ServiceLedger cannot be installed, the following guidelines should be used:
- The updater must be used for updates--the database administration tab will not allow updates on any computer other than the database server.
- Internet updates may be run from any workstation.
- Certain update codes WILL NOT WORK. The known list as of now is: any code with "empty" in the name. Others may be added over time.
