If you need to empty your database and having problems with the empty update code, a better and more efficient way to empty your database is to restore an empty database. ServiceLedger has an empty database you can restore using the update that accomplishes the same thing as running the empty update code.
To accomplish this, close down all instances of ServiceLedger and open ServiceLedger from your server. In network mode, this will be the network server you installed ServiceLedger on. In single user mode, just close down ServiceLedger on that machine.
Open the ServiceLedger Updater - click on Start | Programs | ServiceLedger | Updater.
Click on Restore Database option.
Find the DBE.bak file in the ServiceLedger/Backup Directory (usually found in c:\programfiles\serviceledger\serviceledger unless you changed the directory) Click the DBE.bak file and click OK. Let ServiceLedger restore the database.
The updater will close. Re-open and click the Update Via Internet button. This will update your database to the latest release.
Open ServiceLedger. When prompted to install updated files, click Yes. Let ServiceLedger update and then re-open after it closes.
This will require that you re-enter your registration code provided by ServiceLedger.
